Casa Capileira

The flats have separate entrances, the top flat is accessed from the tiny street of Calle Nueva and the bottom flat has it's doorway on a little street that branches off from that (Calle Romana). When I stay at Casa Capileira, I install my teenage kids + any friends that they have staying in the downstairs flat, whilst my partner, toddler and I stay upstairs. This works well for us and may well be a good solution for bigger families, or maybe two small families who wish to holiday close to each other, yet still have their own privacy.

The terrace has bamboo screening that helps with privacy and also toddler management (although of course children should never be left unaccompanied out on the terrace). The whole village is very child-friendly as the streets are too narrow for cars and they can play at the fountain for hours enjoying the cool, fresh water that comes from the glacier on the mountain above.

The top flat.
This flat is bathed in light from the windows and doors that lead out on to the large terrace, with spectacular views across the Poqueira Valley. There is one double bed and a single sofa/bed which would suit a third adult or a child. There is also provision for a travel-style cot.

The bottom flat.
This flat is warm in the winter and cool in the summer due to the fact it is tucked into the side of the mountain. There is an outdoor space ideal for eating meals with spectacular views. There is one double bed and a single sofa/bed which would suit a third adult or a child. Travel-style cot available.
